Microcredit.tv -diary of how the first millennium goals summit lost its way

Back in 1997, 2000 of the world's great and the good came to Washington DC to learn how to replicate the Bangladeshi microcredit models which had helped turn 1970's newest nation from basket case and million-person-death-by-famine into the most exciting place in the world to come and learn how to race towards poverty museums. At the time, Sputh Africa's first lady caleed Dhaka the open university of microcredit. And Prince Charles was soon to lead those who added their testimony of support to Yunus' biography as banker to the poor.

When friends of Norman Macrae Family Foundation opened www.microcredit.tv , we were motivated by the extreme urgency to respond to 9/11 by finding the best of bottom-up solutions, Back in 1984 Norman had forecast that the futures of the net generation would depend on the new century rapidly recogising diparities in incomes and expectations of rich and poor nations as mankind's greatest risk. He also mapped a clear policy for BBC and other public sector tv broiadcasters to mediate bottom-up replications. Instead Blair and Bush censored all such freedom to collaborate around inter-community exchnages of sustainability solutions

But we became even more alarmed to discover a total mismatch between our 8 visits to Grameen in Dhaka, what american universities were being taught on every campus and what funding mindset had taken over sponsoring microcreditsummit

Here are some of the journalistic and knowledge shring actions we have taken around microcredit.tv and which support our current attempt to offer the most releiable massive open curriculum on what worldwide youth can save by trulying replicating the community-owned frachises pioneered by muhammad yunus and Grameen's 8 million membership of poorest village mothers

2050 yunus book club

10000yunus dvd club

-both clubs freely sampled books mainly to college students

yunus 69th and 70th birthday wish parties

journal of pro-youth economics launched in partnership with friends of yunus and adam smith scholars

This particular stream invites microcreditsummit to transform its way back to helping mediate post 2015 millennium goals. Involve youth peer to peer edication as pivotal not sponsors of big banking. We need you help in searching whether the state of microcreditsummit gets further into denial about having lost its way. At paris sept 2012 meeting of convergences, about 12 diferent standrads were identified- none had any relevance mathematically to getting back to undersranding how to replicate the fanchsies that Bngaldesh had originally inspired.

What we need is smart education hosting not costly pr summiting. If microcreditsummit cant turn the corner it is to be hoped that mow obama aid maps value chains transparently, its ew calling for a global education summit starting aug 2013 will lead us back to the future of uniting humans in the race to poverty museums
