World First : Story of Grameen Danone, Global Social Business
When people review 21st century business cases, some will say that Grameen Danone was a very curious case; others will say it was the most important global branding case of all time. It took us on a new journey at the crossroads of global media and global markets .

Grameen Danone demands 21st C generations celebrate Yes We Can design of branding as that which values sustainability and communal transparency instead of perpetuating the system crises/fallibility other professions in (or sponsored by) Wall Street are still doing with their too big to fail systems - spinning the loss of sustainability at exponentially faster rates. Clearly this is one of the most controversial cases to document- so we ask you to help us edit the details - we know version 0 has many improvements to connect via chris macrae journalist for world class brands network est 1988

Micro social business models emerge in Bangladesh soon after its birth as world's poorest nation- the Grameen project born 1976 is formally constituted by Bangladeshi law as the world's first social business bank in 1983

Soon after Dr Yunus' 2006 Nobel prize, Benedicte Faivre-Tavignot at HEC, Paris, introduces Danone CEO Franck Riboud. Over lunch they co-create global branding partnerships in social business

The world first social business fast moving consumer good brand is a yogurt helping with the nutrition deficiencies of Bangladesh rural infants; this replicates one of Yunus' earliest extensions from banking when he noticed night blind village kids, and almost overnight grameen banking for the poor extended beyond hi-trust financial services to also be the largest social business distributor of carrot seeds. Over the next two decades every offer Grameen ever made reflected trust in 16 decisions that the creativity of rural women entrepreneurs (every 60 being connected by Grameen Microcredit to their own village centre for banking and market exchanges) had selected to invest communally around their children and family's development. Grameen became sustainability world's most trusted quality mark, and its mission to end poverty resonated with what the net generation -Yes We Can be for.

The celebrations of Grameen Danone were joined by France's most famous footballer, and at the time of Dr Yunus French book launch of social business in 2008- President Sarkozi. At which meeting Sarkozi declared France would be proud to host the first SMBA social business MBA at HEC. And other early global social business leaders came from France (Veolia and Credit Agricole) and then Germany (BASF and GrameenCreativeLab)

Then just in time to celebrate 2010 as Joy of Life decade Grameen & Berlin & 125 Global Grameen launch alumni connected in the greatest week of sustainability events yet seen in this young 3rd millennium ...
